i live in southern california, ventura county to be exact, and i would like to get my tortoise to a good herp vet asap, if anyone could be me a name and number in the ventura/los angeles area it would be a god send!! thank you in advance!!

You are probably going to get your best reference if you contact the California Turtle and Tortoise Club. They might even have a vet list on their website.
