This guy is one of my favorites in my collection. Hes very strong/robust. Gotta be careful when getting him out, hes got an extremely fast feeding response .

His head is black during the day and changes to a mid-brown at night. His tail is awesome... he has intense orange body coloration. Especially on his belly. I believe there is a layer of sparratic melanin covering quite a bit of the orange on his mid-sides. I have a nice high orange K-Grade Pos Super female coming in the next few weeks to pair up with him eventually. My hopes are that the supers will take away that melanin revealing lots and lots O Orange .

You can see more of the melanin (dark areas) that I was talking about in this picture. I actually like it, I think it gives him character. His black head / dark body splotches gives him a specific look. I also think it masks some of his orange coloration though, and the fact that it is still very intense even with the visible melanin suggests his color is "Top Notch" .
