Children's python, or???

chaoscat Dec 28, 2004 04:50 PM

I've had a few questions about a snake I was sold last year. First off, she turned out to be a "he" rather than the female I was sold. Second, her head shape is nothing like my pure children's python male, which was bought from Isis Reptiles.

Here's a close up of her head:

Can anyone offer any insight as to if he is pure childreni or not? I'm starting to wonder if he might be some type of hybrid.

Here's a photo of my male Children's, just for reference.

I think many in this complex are integrades. I have a pair that are virtually identical but for the tiniest spot of a scale. Bummer that it is male but I wouldn't sweat the scalation a ton. There were a couple sites that had good references but the ones I had bookmarked are down now.
