Please HELP ---- urgent

My male RES just got bite on the tail area by the female RES.
Why is the female RES doing this, this is the second time she does this. The last time was about 1-2 months ago.
I have 2 male and 1 female in a 55 gallon tank, with basking area above tank.
She never bit the other male.
I placed the injured turtle in another tank, he's very weak, I think he is drown.
I can't afford to take him to the doctor. Can someone please help me, anyone has similiar experience?
The 3 of them grow up together and they've been staying in the same tank for years, I ready don't understand why she does this.
Please help. Thanks

Your tank area is getting too crowded to maintain three of them. Perhaps she is feeling pressured with two males in the environment and is lashing out against them.

As far as the sick one goes there is no way for any of us to be able to diagnose what the problem is and it is best to have a vet look at the animal if he does not improve. In the case of drowning they usually begin to get recover from this condition and get active again if caught in time.

Not really sure if this is what is wrong with him though. Be sure to keep the wound clean and I would give him a few hours a day of dry time to allow it heal.

Thanks for the info. But sadly he was gone.
I dun understand, he's the quiet one, he never bother the female like the other one did, I dun understand why she would do this to him.
He doesn't have a wound on the tail, I guess he was drown, he was unconscious when I pick him up from the large tank. He wake up after 10 second, moved a little when I moved him to the small tank, breathing with his mouth open from time to time.
But this morning I noticed the his limp and head is all out.
I had him for almost 5 yrs. I really dun get it, they grow up together!
Anybody know what I can do with the body?
