More New WTF questions - thanks in advance

We also have a new addition to our family (15 yr old human girl, 9 yr old human boy, 3- 1/2 yr. old mutt Auggie, 3 year old bearded dragon Jassie, 2 cockatiels Frankie & Johnny) a Whites Tree Frog Chris. I'm sure we're doing ok with him (her?), but I have questions. I haven't found a good book yet -- any suggestions? I know I should only feed every 3 days or so, so far I've only seen him eat 2 crickets at a time is this the correct amount?. I have a red heat lamp on all the time - no other light -- ok?. I read that someone had a basking lamp? I'm not sure what that is, is it different that the heat lamp that I have on all the time? Should clothing fibers when we hold him be a concern? He really does seem to enjoy being held.
Also, some information I found online was about a different type of tree frog also called a White's tree frog, one that required a few inches of water in the bottom of the tank - I'm confused about which one I have (I know we have the proper substrate & stuff, just don't know what country his species originated from) so I can be sure of the info I get in the future. Thanks for your patience with my long windedness!

I use a 25 watt red bulb (from the hardware store) in a dome light fixture (also hardware store) to provide heat and nighttime viewing light for my WTF. I leave it on 24 hours for the winter when the house temps are only the upper 60s. I'll only use it for temporary viewing during the summer when house temps reach close to 80.

I provide a shallow water bowl for my frog. I'll attach a goofy picture of him eating a worm. Maybe that'll help you determine if your frog is the same type.
