Hi everyone. I am new to the forum. I've been intrested in getting a green tree python for a long time and was wondering who where some of the better breeders.

Marcel Mendez... i dont know any others besdies him (thats who i'm getting mine from...) but it is very important to get a good breeder who won't screw you over with an import that wont eat.

Okay, there are lots of great breeders out there, and I'll try to run down the list that I can remember that I feel are reputable. I apologize if I excluded anyone, my memory is not one of my best attributes. I've purchased from Greg Maxwell, John Holland/Trooper Walsh, Rico Walder, Eddie Aste, Eugene Bessette, Buddy Goetzger, Jack Sadovnik and Jeff Hudson. All have been great to deal with.

if you had seen something you liked somewhere. lol. I don't blame you. There are many higher profile animals out there....for 3-4X the price, as well as a few more average quality animals for 3-4X the price. lol.

Brandon

Rico Walder (signalherp.com), Rob Worrell(allchondros.com) and Marcial Mendez (chondrolicious.com) are chondro breeders that would both be excellent to make "first" chondro purchase from. Rob is sluggish about updating his site, but don't hold that against him... he's probably in the snake room playing with snakes instead. Marcial and Rico are some of the nicest, most easygoing people that are both passionate about their animals and all provide first class customer service. They offer nice cbb locale types all the way up to designer lines so you have a pretty good selection with any of these.

Greg Maxwell, Trooper Walsh, tend to have high end designer chondros and although a great place to go shopping..... your pockets just need to be quite a bit deeper. Occasionally they may offer lower priced animals, but I wouldn't be expecting to find one there.

Then... there's many "up and coming" future breeders in the chondro world that are working with incredible designer snakes (Jeff Hudson, Tim Turmezie, Trooper Walsh, Greg Maxwell, Tim Morris lines for example) that have many beautiful animals coming up breeding age and will producing animals with the fine genetics and perhaps not as high a price. There are an awful lot of awesome pairing happening right now, the upcoming baby season for chondros should be an incredible one!!

All the other names mentioned so far are very reputable in my experience with a special personal fondness for a couple of them due to personal purchases (that's you Brandon!)
