rehabbing a very thin wtf......

amyjk Dec 29, 2004 05:31 PM

I have had frogs for a couple of years. I was in a petstore yesterday and overheard a boy talking about how he wants to 'get rid' of his frog so he could get a bearded dragon. He was telling the guy at the fish counter that he was going to let it go outside.......that moron told him that it would probably survive. I then butted in and asked what kind of frog. Told him I have lots and eh said I could have it. To make a long story short, it's a whites. A very thin, small whites. I have him all set up, and I fed him some dusted crickets yesterday and today. For his first feeding I gave him 6 crickets, today I gave him 6 more. My question is, should I let him eat as much as he wants? Or gradually increase so as not to 'shock' his system? Thanks for the help.

If it is very thin, feed small meals daily for at least two weeks. At that point you can increase the amount offered while decreasing the frequency until you have it on a "normal" feeding regimen.

Thank you! That was my plan, but I just wanted to be sure. Thanks again.
