I recently found a southern ringneck snake, unfortunately I have been unable to locate any non-contradictory information on the net. Has anyone had any sucess in keeping this species? i.e. what do they eat? Any info would be appreciated.

Hi,
Mine eat earthworms, salamanders and rosy red minnows if they are flopping around. Ring Necks are escape artist so watch out
I tried earthworms today and she took 3 of them immediately!! Thanks for the help!!

I had one that was wild caught. They like to hide under rocks and stuff very secrative. Mine never did eat anything so I let it go. They supposivly feed on soft bodied bugs, crickets, earthworms, and slugs. they can be difficult to feed esp. if they wont eat. they dont get too big.
hope this helped.
