What did the proven granites produce? When I started with BP about a year ago they were pretty hot but I don't hear about any proven lines anymore. I totally forgot whether they produce all white or all black.

When bred to a yellow belly, they will produce the ebony ball. Those are solid black. What I don't get is why they are so cheap. I have two of them now that I bought as babies and I got both of them for $75 each. You would think that if they can produce such a valuable snake that they would be worth more themselves. Go figure.

The Granite that produced the Ebony ball bred with a Yellow Belly is not the same as all Granite Balls. There are a few different type of Genetic Granites out there. The granites that are like the one that produced the Ebony Ball are still valued at about $5-$10k ea. Other Genetic Granites range from about $500-$1500 ea for proven and about $75-$200+ for unproven that show all the markers of a Genetic Granite.

I just wanted to correct the last post.
When crosssed with the YB they produce the 'Ebony Ball' an all black snake.
Yes they produced the "Ebony Ball" when crossed with YBs. The Ebony Ball is an all black snake with a faint yellow stripe running down it's back like the reverse of the Ivory Ball. The all black ball patternless ball python is the super form of the cinniamon pastel.
I don't think granites are gone.
