Nice to see you! Well the skinny tail means he has NO fat reserve, other words TOO darn THIN. SCAREY THIN, Have to fatten him up.

I sure hope you got those tanks cleaned up from last time.
Is the sand just sticking to his back end? Can it be washed off, or are you saying it is coming out of him?

If it is just stuck there, wash it off with warm water, may have a bit of an infection there, especially if the sand is not clean. Let me know if its just sticky on that area.

I find it hard to believe after all this time on sand he would be eating it. But if you think he is remove the sand, use paper towels. And then put a dab of ointment on there, such as neosporin, antibiotic ointment of some kind, even a dab of vasoline may help .

Sounds as though he needs alot of nutriution Mike. Is he eating at all?

Are you able to handle them any better than before, if you have to feed him?

Let me know some of these things I'm asking okay it would help to know more.

Hope you guys are all okay lost your number, so I could not contact you.

i think the sand came externally. but they do scoop some sand up when they get crix. hes eating, but hes not the beast he used to be. i tryed pulling some out and its stuck there real good. ill try the hot water 'cause i dont want to hurt him. hes crapping but not as much as koko. (koko is great, she gets all of the crix in like less then 20 sec., its funny she goes wild.)
