shedding...how often?

compasscreek Jul 03, 2003 04:50 PM

i got home today at noon to find our new chameleon shedding. how often should this happen? i looked in the two books i have and only says this happens when a chamaleon is growing, is there a a negeitive reason for our chameleon to shed. i'm a little surprised his already do this, but he sure is noticably prettier!

It is completely dependent upon their growth rate. At a younger age they will shed more frequently as they are growing faster. As far as I know there is not a negative reason for shedding.

Hope this helps,
