I was wondering what method of incubation you guys recommend for woma eggs. I'd love to hear from anyone who has had success with them.
Thanks in advance,
Chris

Hey Chris, I will try n help a little here. I too have 1.1 Womas and they may even produce this year. I have been trying to get some answers on this subject for a while and it seems there's a little less participation as far as Womas and info goes. If you search the archives and find pics of Woma eggs you'll notice most have the eggs elevated over what appears to be DRY perlite. From what I understand they need 100% humidity but must not become wet? So its seems a soaking wet layer of perlite with standing water on the bottom with a layer of dry perlite on top which the eggs rest on is a good method. I am guessing temps to be about 88 degrees? Don't quote me on that though. I have seen many pics where there is some sort of plastic grate over the perlite which is soaking wet, and the grate keeps the eggs from coming in contact with the water. I hope this helps and hope others chime in Tom Stevens
The little amount of info I've been able to obtain supports your advice. I've heard to keep the eggs on dry perlite but float the egg container in another container holding water to keep the humidity high. I've heard that temps of 88-89 degrees are optimal. The wet layer of perlite under the dry layer sounds like a good idea.
My experience is with colubrid eggs so I have a lot to learn. It's always nice to hear how other people achieve success.
Good luck with your woma project!
Chris
