SHANE27 Dec 30, 2004 01:29 PM

Next month this is what I can buy and just wanted to get your input.
Should I Buy?

1) 1 fire ball male
OR
2) I male het Ivory and 2 females & 1 males 100% het piebald
and 1 male pastel (top of the line on all).

What would you do/buy?

Just a side note, I am going for the male fire and plan on not backing out BUT, I am afraid because I have never spent so much $$$ and just want to make a informed & logical choice and not an emotional one.
Any imput from you top people in the industry would very helpful!

Thanks and Happy New Year to everyone!!!

Shane

I would go with # 2 for sure. You can get all kinds of combos out of the YB's, and pieds are the best looking morph to date IMO.

If you want het leucy, just buy a pair of Mojaves (you could pick a pair up for half of what your gonna pay for a Fire Ball, plus you can produce blue eyed leucistics with Mojaves, instead of black eyed with the Fire).

I say neither....if you want leucy production i say go with a Lesser platty...one of the best morphs to to date..

if you want something solid i say go with pieds or clowns...or lavender albinos....recessives will always have power and those three are the top 3

whatever you do...make sure it is something you like.

I agree, but he didn't mention Lesser Platty. I would take a Lesser Platty over any of them (they are one of my favorites).

he didn't mention Mojaves either, but if he is looking to produce a leucistic, that is the cheapest way to go.

As the originator of the Fireball and Blackeyed Leucie ball python, I should be telling you to buy a Fireball - but if you have limited funding, I would advise you to go for a Lesser Platty male. The Platty still has a lot hidden that hasn't shown itself yet.
