Sandfire and other colorfuls

digiport Dec 30, 2004 01:54 PM

Does anyone have a good picture of an adult sandfire. I want to know what/how colorful these guys end up getting. Ive been strongly debating between malis/beardeds for days now and Im leaning towards beardeds more so than before. I would like to know what I will have in 1-2 years. Thanks to anyone who can provide those pictures!

that in 1-2 years your dragon could look completely different from what it does as a baby. Yellow for example tends to take longer to fully come in. Some babies look incredible but will fade with age and growth. Some look down right plain and turn out with amazing colors. The other thing to think about is what color you might want. Sandfire has dragons that are yellow, gold, orange, red etc. Your best bet is looking at the parents. If they have good color as adults you have a greater chance of having colorful adults yourself.

By sandfire, I assume you are using it as a generic description of color and not a lizard produced by Sandfire Dragon Ranch.

Here are some photos of my pure sandfire Rambo (from Sandfire Dragon Ranch)

Hes not fired up or warmed up in these photos. We also have another male pure sandfire. Rambo is actually a possible female, his/her tail is SO thick that we cannot tell. We will know come breeding season! Beardeds are, in my opinion, better than malis as pets. They tame down much easier, and have better personalities (MO). Ive had both malis and beardeds and Id go for beardeds.

Good Luck in whatever you choose!
