Very reduced black Thayeri...

jlassiter Dec 30, 2004 02:38 PM

This is also from my Vivid line of Thayeri. She was hatched in '02. She is nearly ready to breed so we'll see what she produces in '06. I am hoping for some "no black" Thayeri.

Anyone else working with any reduced black Thayeri?

Hey bro, are you gonna breed her back to the father or a sibling or to an unrelated? Cool snake, I hope mine produce this year. Tom Stevens

I am going to breed it to its sibling brother. He has a light outline around its saddles where the black should be, but only has a small ammount.
What do you think? Is it possible to have a Thayeri with no black?
I know it would not be hypo, but kinda in the same boat as an Applegate Pyro.

As you know bro, there's not half as many Thayeri-heads on the forum as compared to other Kings fanatics. I know a few people that breed them that barely even like them! They talk about them only when I mention it first. I bet if you did succede and had one with no black it would be something, but a SUPER sharp one like Vivids best[meaning bright color and glossy] would have to get some attention. I got my fingers crossed ttyl Tom

It kind of looks like this one I got from the Bodners in 2003.

reduced black milksnake phase from the Bodners.

jlassiter Dec 30, 2004 06:45 PM

Here is my pair from the Bodners. The Leonis phase has some nice reduced black as well.

Nice too. If all the black was gone it would be something never before seen. IMHO. Good work. Good luck with the project if you pursue it.

Here is one I produced this year, not as reduced black as yours but getting there. Bred from Vivid and Dan Vermilion (spelling) lines purchased from Dr. Mark Wolfenson.

rick millspaugh Dec 31, 2004 01:01 AM

Also not quite as reduced as yours, sibbling to last one.

Pretty snakes.......nice orange......chris

jlassiter Dec 31, 2004 10:22 AM

Nice ones Rick! I love the orange. Vivid and Dan Vermilya have some of the best Thayeri.
