Ok well right now i have an Eastern King snake. Hes about 25 inches long. I wanna get another snake and i was wondering what else would make a good choice? Should i get a female eastern king for my male or what? Just looking for some opinions on your favorite snakes. Thanks

Depends on what your goal is. If you are interested in breeding, by all means get a female eastern king since you already have a male. But for a great "pet" snake, it is hard to beat a western hognose. I have found them to be very easy to keep (small cage, not an escape artist, etc.) and interesting with personality. Just make sure it is eating pinkies well.

If you want to stay with the kingsnakes and are not interrested in breeding your eastern king. A good choice and one i think is cool is the brooksi florida king. Another is the blotched kingsnake. Both of these make attractive snakes for a kingsnake collection. And then there is my favorite the california kingsnake.

If you cruise the forums and classified ads, you will get a sense of which snakes appeal to you, as well as an idea of how much different species cost. Then you can ask folks in the forums about the species which appeal to you, to help in making your decision. Good luck!

I would get a corn snake. They are beautiful and come in many different colors and morphs.
