How much to feed

dahuur2 Dec 31, 2004 12:01 PM

I just got a 5 month old mali uromastyx, and I have found many web sites on the different types of food he should eat. The thing I can't find is how much to feed him. I have read that adult malis should not be fed insects and babies would be feed a few. I am confused on how much a few is. Thanks for any help you can give me.

If it were me, I'd give the mali one insect (pinhead crickets for small malis *mali's still the size of a baby*, and small crickets for medium mali's and large for full grown) per month old it is, so if it is a one month old, then I'd give it one cricket, two months-2, until they shouldn't need them anymore. If it were me I'd give them a cricket maybe once a day, if they were a baby, then 1 time every 3 days.

You can keep fresh greens (in small bites if it is a small mali) in their environment all day that way if they want to eat and you're not around you will be fine.
