How often should a ball python that is still growing eat? Right now he is about 20" and on weaned rats, as was recomended by someone on this forum. The problem is, I've seen it recomended to feed a python anywhere from weekly to once every two months...

20 inches and weaned rats?.....

either it's bigger than 20 inch or your "weaned" rats are smaller than mine......

....anyways.....

once a week...good meal.not too big..not too small.......

I buy from rodentpro.com, feed the bigger weaned rats to my corn and the smaller ones to the python... He is nearly 19 inches actually... Someone on this forum recomended the weaned rats, before I was feeding adult mice, but they seemed too small...

It really depends on the snake and what it's eating and how fast it's digesting. I feed mine which are about 20 inches also a weaned rat (30 grams /-)a week if they are on the smaller side I'll see my snakes out looking for food after 3-4 days and I'll feed them again.

4 mice every two days, some people here think that is okay, so it must be....LOL
