hey guys,
i have been using this site now for some time and love all the info and help you guys give to eachother. i just picked up a 2.5 to 3 foot croc monitor. he is incredible, but like their reputations, he is kind of flightly and kind of aggresive. i can deal with this at this size and hope to acclimate him and get him used to me before he gets BIG. i have been all over the web and surprising have found little helpful info on this species. i know they need high humidy and a large cage(which i am in the process of building) but there isn't too much more info out there. i hope to one day breed these, but can they be housed together(obviously not 2 males) if they are close in size and acclimated properly. and how should i break up its diet? should i feed it mainly mice and rats or half turkey and insects??? i would really appreciate your guys help and wisdom. please, this is not my 1st monitor so please don't bash me too much and tell me i shouldn't have gotten him, lol. thanks
