The Golden (fish) Rule

sw0rdf15h Dec 31, 2004 07:54 PM

That picky eater I posted about a while back has become even MORE picky!!! Now he refuses rosy reds and anything that aren't medium to large sized goldfish! I tricked him into eating a few tetras but it's not affordable to feed him tetras all the time. I was wondering if there was anything I could do to live goldfish in order to make them healthier, or if pinky mice were better for him than gold fish? (supplemented?) He honestly just won't eat crickets, worms, or ungold fish and will spit them out if tricked. I need a feeder I can use as a staple diet here, I know goldfish are too fatty but he will not eat anything else even after a week or so.

You can always wait him out. Trust me, he will not starve himself to death. Sooner or later he will eat what you want him to eat.

Its not that gold fish are too fatty per se, they contain too much saturated fats.

Don't feed the frog for a week or so.
