gargoyle gecko help please!!!!!!!!

i got a gargoyle gecko for christmas , and have had him since the 24th , hes just a baby. hes been doing really well. eating small crickets every day. ive got everything in his tank set up perfectly. today i opened his mouth up and its like completel black all over the place , he was in his dark phase , my cresteds arent like this . his tongue is the only thing thas pink , what could possibly be wrong , its not bedding , cuz the bottom of the cage is bare. please help me out so ill stop thinking theres soemthing wrong w my animal , or inform me that there is. thanx

If he's eating fine and seems to be healthy, I'm not sure why you would have even bothered opening his mouth, but it sounds to me as if you have a very bad case of Nervous New Pet Owner Syndrome.

Gargoyles are hardy geckos, so I'm sure he's fine. Just try to keep an eye out for any problems, without being overly worried all the time. If you keep doing things like prying his mouth open, etc., you're only going to stress him out.

Every overweight animal(or person) she sees, she undoubtably diagnoses them with a thyroid condition and gets them tested for it.Her poor dogs goin through all those tests LOL
