I finally got my fiest blue tongue the other day and he is about 4.5 - 5.0 inches, he's still a baby. I have him on a product called jungle mix because its soft and reasonably easy to burrow in for a baby. My new blue is a tiliqua gigas second generation captive born. What types of substrait do you sugest for a baby blue, also is the substrait that I have my blue tongue on ok?

I recommend papertowels, reptile carpet, shelfliner, or astroturf. Any type of non-ingestable substrate for babies. They can easily ingest pieces of any other type of substrate and get impacted. After 8 months I move mine on to Carefresh. Others use aspen shavings with good success. Good luck with your new baby!

Thankyou for your help guys! I'm most likely going to move him onto a couple of small sized towels so he can do some crawing through them.

I started my baby on towels, tshirts, etc. Now she's on bed-a-beast.
