Another Rack Question

Rottenweiler9 Jan 01, 2005 05:56 PM

I am making my rack out of those rubbermaids that they only sell around X mas you know with the green lids. My question is should I use the lid or not while it sits in the rack.

Incase you wonder whats going to go in there it will be my blood python, and either my boa or a green anaconda.

Thanks again for the advise

I strongly advise against this. Many people try this thinking it's a more secure way to build a rack. But ultimately racks like this are less secure, especially when boxes with ridged lids are used.

Regardless, the species you mentioned are bulky enough that the security of the rack is not a big deal.

On the same note, don't build the rack thinking a tighter gap is better. For those species shoot for 3/16".
