wacky find

kingofspades Jan 01, 2005 06:47 PM

i'm up at petco buying my python his x-mas gift aka dinner...

and in the fancy mouse section i see something i have never seen.
it's a white mouse...
black eyes,
and the FAINTEST hint of like, rust brown on it's back. almost like it had been highlighted at a hair dresser.

so i bought him.
going to breed him to a plain female feeder and see what comes out.

anyone ever seen that?

i've seen mix and matched colors, black, gold, brown, etc, but never that FAINT hint of brown. i mean, it almosts looks like he is just dusted with it.

the black eyed white mice are typicaly broken patterns..with just no other color showing but the white. Yours has a bit of rust showing from your description. Interesting contrast on a white mouse. One thing I enjoyed about breeding mice back when I was breeding them for food, was the variety of colour/coat patterns that resulted. i was getting a nice group of black fox pattern mice and working on black eyed white before I froze and sold the entire collection due to having to move. The black fox is a black mouse with white underbelly. Looks quite nice.
