I'M HOPING SOMEONE ON THE FORUM MIGHT HAVE SOME ADVICE I CAN PASS ALONG! A friend of mine takes in unwanted reptiles, she has a female Burm w/Resp infection. She's been taking the Burm to the Vet,who started her on Baytril, which didn't work. The Vet then prescribed horse baytril, that seemed to work at first, but now the Burm has gotten worse and is coughing up brown phlegm, and refuses to eat?!She has given the snake belly heat, raised the temps, and raised the humidity. I haven't had the chance to go down and see the snake myself...but she say's the Burm is very fat,and that she had been with a male.Is it possible that she's gravid, and that's why the baytril isn't working,or is it a secondary infection?
Any help would be greatly appreciated!!
