boa constictors, red-tail boa????????

phone Jan 02, 2005 01:12 AM

this may seem like a silly question, but somehow over years i have never come to realize the answer. are "boa constictors" and "red-tail boas" the same species with simply two different names? or are they actually twoo seperate sakes?

any answers appreciated!
thank you
Ross

but the common Colombian Boa constrictor imperator is refered to as the red tailed boa in the pet trade so it is confusing. Most boas are boa constrictors unless they are tree boas or rainbow boas, ect.
