JETZEN, that snake has a Ruthveni look to it in my opinion, except for the light snout and eye coloration. It could possibly be a Ruthveni / Thayeri cross since they are becoming more popular nowadays in the quest for albino thayeri.
It is definitely not Sinoloan, unless I am seeing it wrong. LOL!

I agree NOT a sinaloan, Thanks!
but it looks like an arcifera to me. Seeing the whole snake would help. Also it looks like its just swallowed a meal which distorts the shape making ID tougher.
hope this will help

Thanks

According to the belly shot it looks more and more like Ruthveni to me. Arcifera or Jalisco milks have red on their ventrals but the white snout does not resemble Ruthveni. Maybe it's something I am not familiar with like amaura or calenops. Or again it may be a cross of some sort.

Well,
If Ric says it's calenops then it probably is. I am referring to the milksnake forum response by Ric Blair.
He would know more about New Mexico milks than I, for sure.
-John Lassiter-
someone else said possibly ruthi i was leaning towards variable.
After Ricks response i made a comparison with a pic of a New Mexican in a book and BINGO!
Sorry for the misspelling, it is " Celaenops "
-John Lassiter-
Well, the belly is pretty typical of a Texas celaenops although I have had many arcifera with the same type of ventral pattern. But the ventral pattern combined with the short round snout make me agree with Ric, celaenops from southern Brewster or Presidio counties.
