Looking for Information...

Hello. A couple days ago my friend, miskittlegrl, posted a message for me about leusistics and snows and breeding. I have now gotten a new account here so now i can post easier. I am looking into getting a bearded dragon. I've done much research on them and my family used to own one a while ago. I REALLY like the snows and red/golds and some others like the citrus and the blood red(other red ones too). Can anyone recommend any certain colors? What are the normal/usual price ranges for these beardie colors? I know someone in my friend's post said that a snow/hypo would be a good beardie to get. I checked out that website and $150 isn't too bad, but i'd also have to pay for shipping, since i'm in Arizona. I already have the tank (i have to get a bigger one for when he/she gets bigger of course) And i pretty much have everything i need except for a few things which still need to be bought. Also, i was wondering if anyone could give me information about breeding? My friend has a normal male(???) and we thought about possibly breeding when the two are old enough. What babies would they have? Like a half and half mixture or...? I'm really good friends with the AZ Herp Rescue here in Az and he knows TONS of people who always buy beardies from him, so we'd most likely have no problem trying to sell the babies (like someone else posted earlier.) I'm not really sure what color to get. I really like the normals, but i'd rather get something more attention catching (especially if we'll be breeding) But i could never afford to get a $600 dragon. lol. I like to spoil my animals so i like to save most of my money in order to do that. lol Also, I was wondering if it is okay to feed a bearded only silkworms (as their means of protein i mean....of course they'd get greens and such. hehe) or must they still be fed an occassional cricket? Also, is it bad to feed them small crickets when they're older? Because i'm thinking i will probably feed silkworms and greens for most of their diet, then maybe feed some occassional crickets and maybe a cockaroach just for some variety. Also do you all recommend buying a baby female or buying one that's maybe 3 or 4 months old?
Thank you all and sorry for the millions of questions. I just want to make sure i get all the facts (most websites don't thoroughly explain things such as the above. lol).
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!
Rachael

Best thing to do is lots of research on caresheets, to get all the basics first. As female dragons need to be at least 15 months old (with 18 recommended by most breeders) before breeding (males should be a year old as well), you have plenty of time to research the care requirements, equipment and knowhow for breeding.

The best place to get nice looking animals is local reptile shows. Check the kingsnake classifieds as well to see if there are any local breeders selling nice dragons.

Silkworms are great as the stable insect food for bearded dragons.

Thank you for the information. I've been doing as much information as possible but websites say different things...lol so i figure it's better to get the information from people who actually have had experience with it...caz i've seen some websites that even say silkworms are bad...so they can be quite confusing. lol. But i've been reading up as much as i can. I wouldn't breed her until she was most likely at least 18 months old, just to be safe (plus i'm in no REAL rush to breed right away). So how would my friend and I go about breeding ours? Would i just take my female over to her place and put her in the male's cage or....how would we work that out? Do they need to 'meet' first or...? Thanks, Rachael
