how big should my female be before breeding??

darcy Jan 02, 2005 01:53 PM

I have a nice looking 2 year old columbian boa that i bought as a mate for my male. she is just a hair under 5 feet and has perfect mass. the male is a central X columbian and is just over 3 1/2feet at 4 years old (small but extremely well fed and very muscular). I think the offspring will look great but i wanted to make sure of size before I start the project. any info would be great.
thanks in advance

I would give her another year. Age is the underrated measuring stick of sexuallity in females. Another year, another 12 inches, and make sure she's a good 10-12lbs.

Good luck, Chris O
