Can anyone give any info on breeding broad banded water snakes? And maybe how to tell the sex of the animal?

Nerodia can be bred much like any other typical colubrid. They need a winter cool period of 6-12 weeks at 50-60 degrees, where they are off feed. They are pretty enthusiastic breeders if the conditions are right so they simply need to be placed together for a few weeks in the spring.

Male watersnakes are much smaller and thinner as adults and have longer, thicker tails relative to their body length.

Good luck!
