you read my mind...I was just lurking around on ebay yesterday looking at those (actually, the f1.4) but I'll probably end up getting the 1.8 just because it is so much cheaper...
...the 50mm is the ultimate fixed lens cheap super star...I want it really fast so I can take low light (real low light...like moonlight) landscapes of the everglades and the california deserts.
