I just recently swtiched to tiles for my Leo and it works so well and i'm told that they do actually feel comfortable on it b/c of it's resemblance to slate and it heats well as well as cools nicely. I don't know, however if this would be an appropriate/comfortable habitat for my 3 month old beardie (mainly b/c he becomes spasdic and I don't want him to hurt himself). Currently I am using sand but I would like to switch b/c i've seen him licking it and it holds smells no matter how much I spot clean. I was thinking of doing a "mixed median" type thing where I use maybe larger pebble, slate, and sand w/airplants. Has anyone attempted this and what combos have you used?

I know that a lot of people in this forum use some form of paper towels for their little ones. When they reach adult size some will switch to sand & some will use shelfliner. I use sand for my adults but I am thinking of going with a sand/ dirt combo for mine.
