Weird stripe down neck area of pastel....

billcherep Jan 03, 2005 12:09 PM

I noticed that on my male pastel's neck, leading to his head, apeared a silver looking thin stripe. He is about 800g and eats a lot. I found out lately from all of the posts that I may have been feeding him too much. I was told by numerous breeders that if they will take it to keep feeding them. Maybe this is a reason for this? Stretching the scales maybe? I don't think its too severe but just wanted to check. Not at home so can't post a pic but once I do get home I will. Hope all had a great Holiday season!

He is probably obese. Most 90% of my Balls would eat everything/everytime I feed them, but it doesn't mean it's good for them. The only thing your going to get out of an obese Ball, is a bigger animal quicker, that will not be as healthy or long lived as a lean mean muscular machine. Chuncky is not bad, as they will most likely go off feed and use up the extra fat reserves, but obese animals are a waste.
