Exporting Into Canada?

rgol77 Jan 03, 2005 03:02 PM

Does anyone know what paperwork would be involved to legally send a beardie across the border (permits, etc.)? Someone who contacted me wants to drive down from canada and bring a dragon back with them. Any info would be appreciated. Thanks.

Hey - As I do not know the legal aspects, from what I know with other animals (pets) when they cross the border they need a health certificate, have been quarentined, and permits. You or the customer should check with both U.S. and Canadian policies on bringing a live animal (reptile) over the border. If you contact the Canadian gov. via the embassy or whatnot, you can acquire the legal documents and legal aspects of it all. It may end up being more hassle then its worth. But good luck, and let us know what you do end up doing!!
