alealfaro Jan 03, 2005 05:51 PM

Hi, this is my first post, I have had a male Trioceros fuelleborni for about two months now, I have been treating him like a Jackson, I haven´t find much information about their care, temperature, humidity, life span, reproduction, etc. The person who sold it to me has a new clutch borned the tow months ago, should I take advange of it and buy a female? or they are not that special or difficult to find? Thanks!!!!

Not many keepers have cared for or even seen this species. Not much care info out there that I know of, but there might be a species profile from the old Chameleon Information Network journal around. I think you can link to the journal editions from http://www.chameleonjournals.com. You could also go to http://www.adcham.com and check to see who of the website authors lists experience with them. I think one or two might have had some in the past (Susan James maybe?). The other option is to get a copy of Petr Necas' fine book "Chameleons, Nature's Hidden Jewels" and read about their wild habitat. If there are any keeping notes they may be included in the book. Check with Kammerflage Kreations for a copy. A great reference book!

Could you ask the person that is obviously having tremendous success with them about all of those particulars? Wouldn't they share all of that info with you? I certainly hope they would...it seems that would be your best bet on finding the most accurate information.

Take care
Kristen

Hi trinacliff, thanks for answering, yes, I asked him, but he got the female a few months ago already pregnant he has been treating them has Jackson too. I when he got them in US both were sold as Jacksons. But I have been reading online about the mountain wheater in Tanzania, and I think that with keeping high humidity and keeping the temperature between 60 and 80 F he will be ok. At least thats what I think would be best if I don´t have any guidelines. What do you think? Any pointers?
