I live in North Carolina and want to know if any of you know where the closest place i can get hot snakes from that is within driving range. I prefer not to ship them but if any of you know places with reasonable shipping prices then by all means share that info as well.

You might think about the upcoming show in Columbia SC. I feel it is still better to actually see what you are getting ahead of time. It is a long way from being foolproof and does not necessarily insure that you will get a healthy specimen but still better than just hoping that the one they box up for you will meet your specifications. Have you done you home work and acquired an escaped proof cage and have it in a lockable room? Do you have the proper equipment to handle a venomous snake.....hooks, clear tubes in case you have to get and eye cap off?
