WOW Greg they're turning out nice. Are you bringing any to Daytona, I bet they look way better in person.
Yes, we should have both yearlings & hatchlings available to see at Daytona.

Greg,
I have to say I was less than impressed with this project after seeing the first few baby pics. I have since changed my tune, and think it is a nice looking animal. Has anyone compared it to a Mojave? While I do not think it is quite as "different" looking as the Mojave, it does have some similar characteristics.
Dave
THis is our breeder male that we picked up from The Snake Keeper last year.

We picked him up as a WC last year.

That is a great looking animal however I'm not sure it is a Cinnamon Pastel. Now I am only seeing one pic so my opinion may not be fair. Does it have all of the identifying traits that our line of Cinnamon Pastels has? From the photo the labial pits do not look as light as our line. Your animal appears to have more pigment in that area. I also can't tell if it has a silver stripe through the eye or if that is a reflection of the flash I am seeing. Is the belly solid white like a Pastel Jungle or is there some flecking on it?
When we picked the Cinnamon Pastel out of the shipment of BP's we also picked up 3 similar looking animals to the animal you posted a pic of. None of those animals produced Cinnamon looking babies & all three were sold. They may turn out to be genetic but they were not a dominant / Co-dominant mutation.
I'm sure there are more Cinnamon Pastels out there waiting to be found & you may just have one, but you will only know for sure after breeding him. (I thought I had 4 of them & only had 1)
Good luck with the project & I would be interested to see more pics of that animal from different angles.
It is extremely hard to identify unproven animals through a photo so here is some more info on the Cinnamon Pastels we produced.

He does have a completely white belly, no speckling. He does have very faded orange stripes along each side of his belly. He also has what appears to be ringer type markings in several areas on his sides. Dan and Colette looked at him, and both said he appears to be a Cinnamon Pastel. We hope to prove him next season, so we will see.

After seeing the last shot I would have to agree with Dan & Collette that it dose appear to be a Cinnamon Pastel. Hope it proves out for you! If it is anything like the original male we have your babies will blow him away. Keep us posted on the progress of this project.
