My BCI is about 3.5' to 4' and I have been feeding her medium to large rats. I've only had her for about a month but she's been doing pretty good.

Wow, I dont think a medium rat will fit inside my snake. He doesn't seem large enough. Perhaps you have a pic of your snake with like a pencil by him (for size comparison).
This is my 2-1/2 year old. he is 42" and eats 1 med rat every 10-15 days.

Hmm, Well maybe I should post a pic of my snake so yall can tell me if hes big enough for rats. Let me go find some batteries for my cam.
I think it's definitely time to increase the size of your snake's prey. My BCI Blossom is a year old today and already eating medium rats. I would figure her length to be just slightly over three and a half feet. Looking at her you would never think that she could swallow such a large item but she does with no trouble at all. Her name really ought to be "Miss Piggy"...she would eat every day if I would let her..Lol! Right now she eats a medium rat on Wednesday and a rat pup on Sundays. I realize that I am going to get some flak from the forum from the amount I feed her but she is doing extremely well on this schedule and I personally don't believe it to be excessive at all. However, I am ALWAYS open to opinions from others and this forum has been a godsend to me whenever I needed help as a newbie....especially from Hoppy!
