Best place for Crickets and worms and what to Gut Load them with??

photojoe Jan 03, 2005 08:20 PM

Is Timberline and ok place to get them from? Is there somewhere better?

Also - is it ok to gut load them with the dry feed's offered, and use the easy water, or is this not enough?

Thanks

I haven't ordered crickets in a while but it really depends on where (what state) you live... You do not want to order from New York if you live in California...

Let us know where you live and we can make better suggestions.

I fed my crickets dry food along with veggie scraps left over from making the daily salads--make sure to remove uneaten veggies daily. I provided water by placing a sponge in a lid of water--no freestanding water so crickets wouldn't drown. I would order 1000 at a time (one dragon) usually a size below what I would normally buy. They were kept in a large rubbermaid--no lid. They would last 4-6 weeks.

Hi, Sorry I totally forgot to put where I live. I live in AZ so would like somewhere close so shipping isnt too much. I have been feeding my crix the gut load stuff and then put a sponge in for water but they ate a lot of it. Is that bad? I would probably order about 200 because I cant stand them and having a lot would just freak me out. I can barely stand to clean the cricket keeper because they are everywhere!! Lol. Thanks
