this is the start of my dart frog tank . i havent got to see the water work yet , "crossing my fingers" ill let THE SILICONE dry over night and see what happens . any advise any one has would be cool . let me know how it is for a start. thANKS

The overall design looks pretty good. I would let the silicone cure for at least three days before putting animals or subsrtate in there. I generally wait 5 days or until the vinegar smell completely goes away. Also, I would ensure that the current on the water feature is not too strong, as darts are weak swimmers, even in weak currents. I lost a mantella this way to a current which I thought was nearly non-existent. Otherwise, your setup looks pretty good. Keep us updated with further pics.

first off , thanks for your advise . i appreciate it .this is a 50 gallon and im going to use rock for the main sustraight , i still need a couple more 25 pound bags to make the upper level and mounds , then im think im going to use live moss on top of the rock .im going to try and flaten bark chunks for the back ground . i had considered about the current , if its too strong im going to silicone off part of the out let to slow it down , also i have to put some more rock where the out let is. ive got to come up with some idea on a water fall , i still have one small pump for that . i dont think ill be putting any frogs or plants in yet , im taking my time . after the terrain is finished ill get some plants and let them start for a few weeks . also still coming up with a idea on a top , im going to use screen and glass so i have some venhilation , but im still un sure exactly . one question you said a few days on the silicone befor substraight , plants or frogs , do you think i should wait a few days for water too ? i yey to add water and check uot the flow etc.. what do you think ?
