Daily or weekly Feeding?

RavonTUS Jan 04, 2005 08:17 AM

Greetings,

My RES is about 3-4". I've had him for a month or so. I feed him one pellet and one dried shrimp a day. Carrots and lettus every now and then.

I was just wandering how often you feed your RES?

Is it better to let them gorge every few days? or continue on a daily schedule.

I would feed him every other day at this size. One
day give enough pellets to equal the size of his head and
the next feeding give Romaine or other dark greens. I would
stay away from lettuce. No nutritional value what so ever.
Once in awhile for a treat is fine. The key is to mix it
up and give a variety of foods.

Mine eat Reptomin, frozen shrimp (thawed and chopped small),
Romaine, turnip greens, dry cat food (soaked until soft)
thinly sliced squash, and anything else I try.

Hope this helps
Linda
