Skin Problems and Vet trip?????

Hey guys i need some help... I have been researching my red's skin problem and most sites and posts say it is from a bad diet BUT my problem is that i have two wonderful little tegus that share everything (about 12 months old) from their winter tank to there summer outdoor house, but only one of them ever has this skin problem. Two questions. One can a vet treat a skin problem like this with a tegu or are they just going to tell me to wait it out. Second is there any good Tegu specific vets in the Southern California region that anyone can recommend. I am located in South Orange County but constantly drive to San Diego where i am attending school and Ventura county where my family is located... Also any advice would be great. I will post some pictures of this problem in about 30 minutes when they are out of their bath... thank you for any advice.
