I am sure someone will have info for you. I wouldn't worry too much though If it did do some damage to it's eye, it is not life threatning and eyes are the fastest part of the human body to heal. I imagine it would be the same in monitors, which heal fast anyway

k, so I"m scanning old posts for mangrove info, but why in the world would you say that they eye is the fastest to heal? I think it's the oral mucosa but that's besides the point, the eye, has very very little blood circulation to most parts and treating eye injuries can be a nasty pain in the butt.
I was going by what the doctors told me when a stick cut my eye while dirt bikeing one day. I wore a patch over my eye for awhile and it healed very fast. My wife, a former paramedic, also told me the eye was extremely fast healing. I do not know a reason for it to heal so fast, but medical profesionals say eyes do.
