my hypo pastels are a little over six months old.
That Hypo Pastel is incredibly pretty, nice Axanthic too.

and I get the feeling I am going to have a hard time parting with any in the future! Too pretty, too much potential.
I do need a hypo super pastel though

Here are a couple pics of my 2003 male.

Corey
Corey, does that mean you are going to have pastel double het pied ghost???? Nice job man. A project I somday intend to have going too, I think they will look awsome Ghost pieds throwing the pastel in there too won't hurt none!!

Unreal!!!!!
Nita's got it pegged - tons of potential there.
In a few years you are going to have a ton of fun watching all kinds of crazy snakes hatch from the same clutches.
Great job Corey.

Very cool to start seeing triple hets in the works (het pied, ghost, and pastel - just with the het pastel part visible). Also nice to see a pied female breeding.
Joe, do you have an axanthic male to go for triple het ghost, axanthic, and pastel? As nice as the axanthic pastels looked I don't think there is any combination there that wouldn't look nice (true ghost, pastel true ghost, super pastels, etc. etc.).
IN BALL PYTHONS!!!!! It's just crazy. When I first started with ball morphs it seemed the triple and quadruple het projects would never happen. Now I am dying to see the homozygous end result.
Whats a few more years - right?
There are so many morphs to be made - we are just beginning to scratch the surface.
Randy - yes I do plan to cross hypo pastels with axanthic. As much as I love the bright colors of the hypo pastels, I am itching to see what they look like without the yellow.

Yes, a pastel true ghost will probably be outrageous!
The only down side with your pastel ghost X axanthic cross is that while the parents are homozygous for ghost and axanthic respectively you are only talking about a het for the pastel gene (i.e. not a homozygous super pastel) so only the pastel half of the clutch will be triple hets (ghost, axanthic, pastel) but the other half will be quite respectable double hets for true ghost.
There are animals out there that could produce quadruple hets already. I don't know about the genders and sizes but in theory someone could pair spinners, snows, caramel glows, and pewters in some interesting combinations this year! Don't be afraid of the 1 in 256 odds of quadruple hets producing quadruple homozygous, just think of all the awesome combos you will produce trying. You might breed a pair of quadruple hets for years without producing two of the same, even two normals if enough of the hets are dominant types.
The pastel ghosts are awesome.
