Hatched out in August. I really like the bull snakes from this area.

I love how light that animal is in the pic, as most Kankakee localities tend to be darker. Is it age, contrast, or both, or neither?

The head pattern is attractive as well.

Part of it is over exposure lol! I have seen a fair amount of variation with Kankakees though. As adults they have black blotches on the anterior and posterior parts of the body while the mid section tends toward chestnut brown. Some will be darker than others and a few individuals seem to have a reddish cast to the mid body blotches. There is also a fair amount of variation when it comes the amount of pigment on the head.

I'm sure you've already seen me post this pic....she's also a Kankakee, this pic is a couple months old, but she looks the same - just bigger!! How big is yours? Mine is from an August hatch I was told. I just bumped her up from two fuzzes per feeding to one rat pup. More pics in my gallery.

Thanks Tim. They are very special to me also. Do you keep the Wi locale? It would be neat to see somebody working with those.

No. They are protected in WI. I have one of John Ginter's Kingsville TX bulls, which I really like. I think Ginter and John Metzer both work with WI bulls though.
