Homemake racks! Lets see them

srsnakes Jan 04, 2005 08:09 PM

Steve and I have made plenty of racks in our time but i doubt anything can top the masterpiece my father created for us last season. This was meant to hold our babies when they were produced. Little did my father know that wasnt even close to enough spots...The majority of the piece is Red Oak with inlays of wood piece called "snake wood" The top portion is two snakes "kissing" and their tails rap around the edges as decoration... Its a beautiful, HEAVY, piece and i wanted to share it and see some other peoples works of art!

Sincerely,
Rose Hipskind

PS. Thanks for looking!

"I'll tell you the problem with the scientific power that you're using here: it didn't require any discipline to attain it. You read what others had done and you took the next step. You didn't earn the knowledge for yourselves, so you don't take any responsibility for it. You stood on the shoulders of geniuses to accomplish something as fast as you could and before you even knew what you had you patented it and packaged it and slapped it on a plastic lunchbox, and now you're selling it, you want to sell it!" but simply functional. I'm not much of a carpenter, but find it easy and cheap building racks rather than purchasing them.

This is what I house most of my males and c/a boas.
They don't look to bad to me, and there cheap to make.
