Is my 6' BCI "cooling" herself?...

dmac Jan 04, 2005 08:22 PM

The last month or so she remains in the cool side (low 80's) of her tank. This is unusual for her. Everything else seems fine, she does spend a day on the warm side (95) for a day after eating, but lately that's it. She also hugs her water dish a lot. Her hide is in the warm spot so she's totally exposed during the day which is kinda nice (I get to see her more,) but I'm worried about her getting an R.I. No mites or any obvious signs of illness, is this normal behavior for an adult female in the winter? I know it's not "winter" in her cage, but maybe they can sense barometric pressure or something like that.

I think I must have inhaled a lot of carbon monoxide in traffic on the way home. I'm alright now.
