What would the result be of a Leucistic Texas Rat x Okeetee Corn produce? Would the leucistic gene carry visally? Would some babies have pattern if it did? If it has been tried, please let me know what the results were.

Leucistic is recessive and inherits the same was as amelanism or any other recessive trait. If you bred the two, the babies would most likely all be normal since there is no leucy corn yet. In other words, there's no chance that the corn would be het for leucy. I haven't ever seen Tx rat X corn babies but I am thinking the cross would produce something somewhat similar to what corn X black rats produce (I know you can find pic of this cross around)
Hope that helps
Sarah

A lucy to a normal corn would produce normal looking het babies. Then if you breed brother and sis back you will get lucy corn X TX rats. The F2's are what hyrbidization is all about anyways because thats when you get the neat patterns and colors.
