I've been reading a lot of posts here and I must say this is a very informative site! I have a question though.... how are you able to tell what kind of morph each lizard is just by looking at the pic? I was reading one post where they said you can tell a high yellow because it doesn't have spots on its hind legs (or something like that). I'm trying to have as much expertise as possible with leopard geckos so I guess this is where I should start.

Also I've looked in signatures to see "3.0.1 Tangerine" and "1.0.2 Stripe".. stuff like that. What does all that mean?

By the way I have 3 geckos of my own. I will post pictures of them later when I get home. (I'm at work right now)

i dunno about the morphs ive ben trying to learn that also.
but as far as the 1.0.2 albino leos. means 1 male, o females, 2 unknown or babies albino leos . somebody correct me if im wrong please.

Hey good link. Cept I disagree about patternless. "Matures to a solid color from brownish to greyish, to whitish" my a$$. Mine mature to a beauty lemon yellow body and head with a white tail. Think I should email her (him?)
And oh. I have a ghost leo I didnt know I had, how bout that? I just thought she was ugly

she's just a regular SHCT with a small feminine head, itty bitty spots on some toes, and more CT with every shed! I was just going crazy before I figured it out

yes there was no patternless pic on the website. and yes, I have to either shrink them or crop them. that pic, I think I cropped it to the right size and to cut my foot and some other crap out of the picture

Yeah I know it's an albino but I'm not sure what kind. When I bought her they had it listed on the container she was in but I don't remember what it said.... ______________ Albino lol...

I'll post much better pics of all my children when I get home...

alot of experience with morphs i guess, that leo just has the bell "look" the purpleish banding and speckling around and inbetween bands

I want to be able to tell the characteristics of differen tmorphs

This is my oldest leopard gecko. I got her from Harford Reptile Center at the All-Maryland Reptile Show. Artmemis is app 11 months old.

Artemis is a hypo tangerine
sasha is a jungle
hermione seems to definatly be a bell albino

lisa, that one is obviously a tremper my genes...rainwaters are much lighter and have a washed out look, and as you can see bells are much darker and are more purple than muddy brown or greyish

I got Sasha last September from the MD Reptile Expo. She's 4 months old. She's kind of shy so it's rare that I get pics of her.

Pretty self explanitory But, she's a really nice one!

this is the albino but I'm not sure which kind. I bought her the same time I bought Sasha.

I agree with Dan, she looks like a bell. Does she have light / red eyes? From the last pic, it looks like she does. The sharp spotty body (the edges of the spots / markings have a sharply defined quality that is lacking in most trempers), and the relatively dark pattern coupled with light eyes point to bell.
