Breeding Question?

Gadzooks Jan 05, 2005 10:22 AM

Hi, My question is, is it possible for more than one male to breed a female during the season. I put two of my girls in with my male and they are starting to look bred. I then acquired a new male and would like to see what he can produce. If they were bred by the first male is there a chance at some point during the season that the other male would be able to breed them. I know that they retain the sperm for quite some time so was not sure if the first male already has a lock on it. Thanks a million for any replies.

i posed the same ? a while back. the answer I got was, don't! just wait the season out unless she keeps laying infertile eggs. otherwise, yo will just have to wait for next season. they tend to keep the same mates in the wild I think, so many partners is prob not normal
